The legal action

AN ARMY OF AO MAN LONG's © BLOOM * CREATIVE NETWORK
The trial of Ao Man Long came to an end. Yesterday the lawyers and prosecutors dial they last words on court. Each asked the opposite, as usual. A severe punishment and a midst one. The thing we know is that there will be no appeal. What will come out will be for good. The ex-Secretary for Transportation and Public Works is accused of 76 crimes which lands him the prize of being the agent of the biggest corruption trial in Macau and is facing the possibility of spending more than 20 years in jail, which the public opinion believes will not happen. Their bet is for a soft penalty. Ao Man Long is charged with taking hundreds of millions of patacas in illicit payments while being a government officer since the Handover in December, 1999.
